Welcome. I’m Sarah Newton, a qualified pluralistic counsellor and hypnotherapist based in Woodley. I provide a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for adults and young people to explore the challenges life throws their way.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating bereavement, coping with low self-esteem and confidence, living with the emotional impact of chronic illness, or struggling with relationship issues, I’m here to support you.
I work closely with clients experiencing anxiety as a central focus of my practice, helping you understand what is driving your anxiety, reduce overwhelm, and build practical coping strategies so you can feel more grounded, in control, and able to manage day-to-day life with greater ease.
I also support people through grief and loss, offering a steady and compassionate space to process bereavement and adjust to life after loss in your own time and way. Alongside this, I have particular experience supporting clients living with chronic and long-term health conditions, including Parkinson’s and cancer, helping you navigate not only the physical realities of illness but also the emotional impact, uncertainty, and identity shifts that can come with it.
My approach is rooted in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all therapy. I work collaboratively with you, tailoring each session to your individual needs, goals, and personality, using a range of therapeutic approaches. This means we focus on what actually helps you, rather than following a fixed method.
With a background in education, hospice work supporting people with cancer and their families, and voluntary work with children and families affected by crime and abuse, I bring warmth, empathy, and real-world experience to my practice. I have extensive experience supporting clients through anxiety, grief, chronic illness, and major life transitions, always offering a grounded and supportive space to talk, reflect, and move forward.
I also offer hypnotherapy where appropriate, helping clients access deeper levels of relaxation, reduce inner conflict, and support positive emotional change.
Sessions are available in person at the Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley-on-Thames or online if preferred. Evening and weekend appointments are available to fit around your schedule.
I offer focused therapeutic support for adults and young people navigating emotional, physical, and life challenges.
My main areas of work include:
I work collaboratively and in a tailored way, using a pluralistic approach that draws on different therapeutic methods based on your needs. This allows us to focus on what actually helps you, so you can find clarity, stability, and emotional relief in a way that feels right for you.
Hypnotherapy can be a gentle but powerful way to support emotional change and inner calm. I offer focused hypnotherapy sessions to support you with:
These sessions help you access a deeply relaxed state, reduce internal tension, and support positive shifts in thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.

She chooses the right type of exercises to help target and improve my hip problems & in every session there are different combinations to work through to keep things interesting. I am very grateful for her level of professionalism. I only wish the sessions were a little longer.Posted on Google family pearsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was walking badly and my neck and shoulders were sagging badly. Since the programme everything is moving easily and my posture is betterPosted on Google Abu Aishah KhanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I want to give a huge shout-out to the team at 3-Way Physio in Woodley, and especially to Jack, the physiotherapist who made all the difference for me. Initially, I started my treatment with Rupali, who was great but she felt I needed Jack’s specialised expertise. And wow, she was right. Jack is hands-down the best physiotherapist I’ve ever come across, and I’ve seen quite a few over the years for various issues. He guided me through recovery after a meniscus tear, surgery, and even a tough bout of sepsis that set me back. Thanks to his incredible knowledge and professional yet super friendly approach, I’m ahead of schedule and feeling better than I ever expected. I can’t recommend Jack enough!”Posted on Google Lorna HallTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Just wanted to say how well I was looked after during my 6 month period of rehabilitation following major surgery for a shoulder repair. Anisha from 3Way Physio was ver professional and sensitively guided me through my recovery plan. She demonstrated a very patient and friendly manner. I wouldadditionally like to mention how helpful the reception staff were as well. I would be very happy recommending this pracice to anyone .Posted on Google Stephen DigbyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Successful consultations and treatment. Would really recommend 3 Way Physio. Anisha has been fantastic giving me all the right exercises explaining the stages I needed to go though to strengthen my knee after surgery.Posted on Google Cheryl McGrathTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For more than 4 years I have had arthritic pain in my knees which has greatly impacted my mobility and general day to day activities. Anisha has been fantastic from the moment I met her. She listened, fully examined my legs and movement and then gave me a couple of really simple daily exercises. Following the exercise plan, my knee pain & stiffness has gone. I can easily walk half a mile with my dog and I can now walk up and down my stairs without my knees cracking and locking up. I am no longer relying on pain killers every day and I have so much more freedom in getting around. Not only have I got my independence back, my confidence to do things that I previously couldn't attempt has done wonders for my overall well-being. I cannot praise Anisha and the 3 Way Physio team highly enough and I would not hesitate to recommend their services to others.Posted on Google Ian AllanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very pleased with outcome after 3 sessions with Rupali, I now have much needed relief with the problem with my lower back. Many thanks
