Your first session includes:

  • A detailed discussion of your symptoms and medical history
  • Review of any images or reports you may have
  • A physical examination, including
    • Pelvic floor assessment if appropriate and with your consent
    • Assessment of posture, movement & strength
  • Pelvic floor assessment if appropriate and with your consent
  • You’ll get a clear explanation of what’s going on
  • Discussion of treatment options and expected timelines

Finally, we’ll agree on a realistic plan together and you will leave with a clear plan.

An internal vaginal pelvic floor examination may be recommended. This is not compulsory. It allows accurate assessment of muscle strength, coordination and function. The process will always be explained fully beforehand, and you may decline at any time.

Follow-up appointments are for you to:

  • Reviewing your progress
  • Progress & adjust your exercises
  • Adjusting treatment as required
  • Making sure your recovery is staying on the right track
